Ziggy has triumphed in the LLWS. Chula Vista or whatever pretty much dominated the tournaments and I eagerly await learning how many 17 year-old kids they had.

The US Open is ongoing. Everyone is undefeated with the exception of Brian's Mauresmo.

And college football starts up tomorrow and heads through the weekend. A quick preview:

Biggest game: #5 Alabama (Pat) vs. #7 Virginia Tech (Lyons) - Awesome betting opportunity here. Alabama is 6.5 point favorite.

Other UFL matchup - #20 BYU (Zig) vs. #3 Oklahoma (Ben) - Another betting opportunity, though Oklahoma is favored by 22.

Big games: #13 Georgia (Matt) vs. #9 Oklahoma St.

#16 Oregon vs. #14 Boise St. (Pat) - probably determines BSU's BCS hopes right here.

- Odds are out for the LLWS finals today. To my surprise, Ben's Taipei is a decent-sized favorite.

- The US Open starts tomorrow, meaning Matt will get a little more cushion in his lead.
