Big things coming...

Standings are updated. 

The next week is likely the biggest in the UFL's short history. Alongside the usual slate of NBA and NHL games, we've got the first round of the WBC (4 games today alone), the WGA-CA (this is golf), the second half of the first round in the Champions League, and conference tournaments which will likely determine the fate of a number of non-BCS teams.

Last night had 3 UFL showdowns in the NBA. Lyons's Celtics beat Patty's Cavs, Matty's Rockets took out Busman's Suns, and my Jazz won their 9th straight game, this time over Herman's Nuggets. College basketball and the NHL were quiet. In the WBC, Brian's Japan crushed my Korea squad early this morning in a big win.

Commish - golf issue

I just clicked on a story saying that Tiger would be playing in next week's UFL-included WGC-CA championship and the article mentioned that there is no cut in the event, playing havoc with the UFL scoring system.

Updated, WBC has begun

The WBC began last night and Brian picked up a win as Japan unsurprisingly beat China (though the spreadsheet isn't quite working on those fields, either me or Lyons will fix it when we have time). Scores have been updated and Patty widened his lead a bit, picking up 3 wins. Big WBC showdown tonight as natural rivals Korea (me) and Taipei (Bussman) face off at 3:30 AM.

Updates and coup

Here is the update. Patty continues to roll. Fuck the Devils. Additionally, I hear tell that Patty in engaged, so his UFL game can only get better from here...strange tail is like cryptonite in the UFL.

I just wrote scallot and gave him the proper clearance to edit the sheets for a while. Clearly I am out of practice as regards working and living at the same time. What the fuck was I thinking...my shitty life looks pretty good in the rear view. Anyway, I'll settle down and reclaim my duties soon. In the meantime I do not cede my role as commish. As I have already communicated to him privately, God's speed young Scallot!

I have half the scoring updates done on paper. I will almost certainly have it totally updated tonight, but I promise perfect scores before the WBC starts on Thursday. The job and other factors have combined to make me ineffective the last couple weeks. Here I go. Updating now.

So...

Does this thing still exist? We have to actually make it to March Madness. Lyons, if you're busy with a real, permanent job, I'd be happy to do the scoring for the next couple months.
