  2. I think this is directed at me, but I'm not sure what it means.

The trade he's talking about would be more appropriately discussed on the Zooooone board, not here. Bait and switch? Whose jewishness is at issue here? WTF?

I'm guessing Mark found a good happy hour this fine Friday...

  3. I've read this post a dozen times. It's like one of those fucking Magic Eye things. I just can't make sense of it.

  4. It was directed at Matt, and, as usual, he was right on several scores: first, it was directed at him; Second, though this was not his observation, yes it was fantasy football related; Third, I can only post via text to this board, not that one and I decided at that moment I REALLY needed to vent; Fourth, he offered a trade earlier in the week, that was not awesome, but I accepted, then he withdrew it and offered a much shittier trade; Fifth, my first thought was that he was "jewing" me, which as a jew, who is discriminated against by even other jews, gave me several layers of self-loatheing even to think (by the way BOSAC, before the cult, ect. your mother, by my recollection was just as jewish as mine or ziggy's, so I don't want too much shit from this, unless you can prove to me how a conversion and formal dipping ceremony changes one's dna to make the mother a member of the tribe when they were not before.)Regardless, my mother was a schicsa (sp) and obviously, therefore, a whore, so who knows who my father really is, which is a source of endless comfort to me...much like Jill...but that is another subject. Anyway, BOSAC offered a trade, I accepted, then he withdrew it and offered a piece of shit at the last minute. Poor form all around.

  5. Wow. Seriously I am extremely confused. I am wondering who really wrote that last comment (considering the recent shenanigans on the Zooooone board with fake posts).

I have not withdrawn any trade offer, and I don't know what other trade Mark is talking about. I don't even think that it is possible to withdraw after a trade is accepted.

The only deal is the one that went through (Jones & Holt for Santana Moss) which was made, apparently got no objections, and was just processed a few minutes ago.

The 'bait and switch' claim and the 'jewing' discussion would have made sense to me if in fact we had a prior deal that I withdrew after we had an agreement. But that didn't happen, so I was confused before about those comments.

  6. The deal did go through in the last 20 minutes. However, that deal sent santana moss to you for tory holt and julius jones , and this afternoon I got a notice that that deal was withdrawn and you were now offering portis's back up for santana. That was the basis for my animosity.

  7. OK, now the whole thing makes sense. Even the Betts offer, which would make some sense if Portis' injury is severe, but which was not made by me.

    Here's what happened:

On Thursday I sent Mark a trade offer. He accepted soon after, and the voting period for objections began.

This afternoon, Ziggy read that Portis had missed practice and was listed as questionable for Sunday. Ziggy immediately picked up Portis' backup Ladell Betts. Then, either because he wasn't aware of the pending trade between me and Mark, or else because he thought that our trade could be withdrawn, Ziggy offered Betts in trade to Mark for Santana. Ziggy was able to make the offer because Moss was still technically on Mark's roster while the real trade was pending.

I'm guessing Mark got some kind of notice by email or text about Ziggy's offer and didn't read it fully and didn't realize that our trade was still pending and would be processed soon. Mark assumed the Betts offer was from me, then jumped to the mistaken conclusion that I had engaged in some kind of deception, and launched into a misinformed rant focusing on religious stereotypes, which suggests he harbors some deep resentment that he should probably bring up with his rabbi and priest. Or bartender, whatever.

  8. Here's another way of looking at it. Mark thought he had a claim against me for breach of fantasy contract. But his fantasy complaint is subject to a fantasy motion to dismiss, and my counterclaim (for defamation of fantasy character) is probably strong enough to get past fantasy summary judgment.

As a reasonable person and an upstanding member of the fantasy champion community, I offer to settle in exchange for Mark's promise that he will double check the league web site before he makes any more false and outrageous claims about me making or withdrawing trade offers - with the stipulation that if he does make any more absurd claims like that this season, he will owe me liquid(ated) damages equal to my fantasy attorney's fee in this matter (which luckily happens to be exactly "one glass of good scotch at a bar that doesn't smell like piss").
(But note that is real scotch, not fantasy scotch.)

  9. Yep. That's what happened. The truly crazy thing is that I formed the misimpression while sober at work, decided to let it slide, and then got drunk and went against my better judgment. In my defense, Matt and Zig both have gangster based fantasy team names. Also, oggy wins so damn much it is easy to start seeing conspiracies everywhere. Anyway, I'll liquidate the fuck out of those damages next time I see you Matt. Finally, should I ever decide to run for office, someone remind me to delete this thread...or perhaps the whole blog...and I guess burn my cloths as well.
