A Lil something before the Rumble (Campbell do they have this where you live?))

Check my shit

It is late. I am drunk. I tried to update the scores. I actually watched a shit load of tennis this evening, however, when I entered the scores, it seemed weird. Make sure I'm right here. It sounded like Maueresmosobalhblahblah won, but the score wasn't on espn...I gave her the points anyway.

Tennis Live on ESPN.com

Just realized that if any of you want to check in on your tennis players you can do it through espn. That purple color means its a link, Campbell. That's how the internets transport you to the googleness.

Bouncing Bunny Vultures Points Incorrect

FYI- I believe we should have 41 points not 39. The Lakers have 5 wins since the 11th over Miami, Houston, Cleveland, Clippers, and Washington. They have 2 losses to San Antonio and Orlando. The spreadsheet has only 4 wins in their column.

B3V would appreciate the adjustment.

one love.

Rough Night for Scallet

Well, Dan is now alone in last place and his prospects for climbing out of the cella any time sooon seem pretty slim. Not only was his foray into active management last week a total disaster, but Ivanovic got upset last night at the Ausie Open. No more tennis points from the #5 seed in the tourney.

Standings

1. B&G (42)
2. BenBounce (41)
3. Pineapple (39)
4. Herman (35) The cats are creeping. Petrova's performance will be key. she is the underdog in her next match.
5. Conatus (32)
6.. Da Zone (31)
7. Team A (30)
7. Otis (30)
7. Born Again (30)
8. E.H. Schnuck (28)

Friday Night Action

Tennis

9:30-11:30 Tennis channel
A. Mauresmo (20) (Team A) v. V. Azarenka (13)
S. Williams (2) (Born Again) v. S. Peng
S. Kuznetsova (8) (B&G) v. A. Bondarenko (31)
3:30a.m.-8a.m. Espn2
E. Dementieva (4) (Otis) v. S. Stosur

NBA

Ten games tonight, but no head-to-head ufl action. Big game for Herman as his Pistons play the mavs. Teams have pretty identical records, but the Pistons are the home team. If Herman is going stay out of the cella, he needs to get some NBA production at some point.

NCAA

No UFL action. However, North Dakota St. plays South Dakota St. Too bad the game isn't broadcast in any way. Not even on espn 360.

Women's tennis is definitely the big action tonight.

next thursday....

st. mary's at gonzaga!!!!!!!!!

On Crayola Notions of a Bunny Vulture

I have shouted towards the heavens
till blood stains my larynx.
I have written and re-written and
re-re-written
instructions till my fingers do callous.
Alas,
the Bunny Vulture understands not.
Is it that this wretched crime against god's creation
has no eyes with which to read?
No.
For it seems to type in Crayola,
and, therefore, must at least
see a little as it circles the
Sea of Reason.
Circling, circling, circling,
but never landing upon the
Sea of Reason.
Never even a quick dip in the temperate currents of Reason.
Oh, how this makes the ideas of the Bunny Vulture
stink with the rot of gangrenous false premises and
swollen, puss-filled baubles of ignorance that
upon bursting
drown some of the fleas that gnaw upon the mange infested undead carcass of the
Bunny Vulture
providing him a moment of solace
to collect his meager
thoughts
and scribble a few more of his Crayola notions.
I added a "Transaction" label to the two previous transactions posts and will continue to do that on each subsequent one. If you want to get to the transaction posts without a lot of scrolling just click the label on the right.

I was wondering about Venus last night when I was updating the scores. I guess ESPN just didn't want to accept it yet because the only open spot on the bracket was where Venus's opponent should have been.

NCAA

St. Mary's (Bussman), UCLA (Brian), Gonzaga (Campbell) , Butler (Herman) and Georgetown (Campbell) all play tonight.

Must give Bussman props for getting St. Mary's when they were well outside the top 25. They could be a 5 or 6 seed when all is said and done.

NBA

Celtics (Lyons) at Majic (Campbell) TNT 7 p.m. CST
Wizards at Lakers (Ben) TNT 9:30 CST

Tennis

Following Matches 7 p.m-11p.m. on Tennis Channel (If anyone wants to find a bar w/ Tennis Channel to watch any of these matches, just let me know.)

D. Safina (Bussman) v. K. Kenepi
J. Jankovic (Ben) v. A. Sugiyama
N. Petrova (Herman) v. G. Boskasomething

Following Matches 3:30a.m.-8a.m. on ESPN2

A. Ivanovic (Dan) v. A. Kleybonova

Wow. Figuring that schedule out was not easy.

Big Swings

New standings.

I had a large day...however, my fixation on sweet titties continues to be my downfall. Your new standings:

1. B&G (42)
2. Pineapple (32)
3. Da Zone (31)
4. Conatus (30)
4. BenBounce (30)
4. Otis (30)
4. Born Again (30)
5. Team A (28)
5. 2 Cats (28)
5. E.H. Schnuck (28)

Patty is in trouble. Can you really imagine the early front runner actually winning this thing? He has to stay sharp...I'm playing with one Sharapova tied behind my back.

Thursday preview to come once I get to work and someone is paying me to do it.

Bitches...

I'm starting to get a familiar feeling as regards Miss Maria Sharapova...she's hot, yes, but she ain't really putting out, is she? She looks real good sitting there on my roster. So good, in fact, that I'm sure I'll score a lot with her just as soon as she's ready...Meanwhile everyone who settled for a less high maintenance lady is scoring at least every couple days...Sharapova is going to leave me with an empty point bank. If this were real life one could draft 2 or 3 lithe Russians, so as to limit the chances of disappointment...but such is not the case in the UFL. The UFL is a teacher of lessons in honor and fidelity...hopefully I learn my lesson before Dubai.

Standings were updated this morning.

1. B&G (31)
2. Pineapple (30)
2. BenBounce (30)
3. E.H. Schnuck (28)
4. DA Zone (27)
5. 2 Cats (26)
6. Otis (25)
6. Born Again (25)
7. Conatus (22)
8. Team A (21)

Like I said. Tennis is killing me.

Itis good to see that we are starting to get some separation in the point standings.

HEAD-TO-HEAD

Devils (Patrick) v. Canadiens (Matt)
Last night of NHL action before the all-star (what an oxymoron) break. Picks back up on Sunday.
Cavs (Patrick) v. Portland (Dan)
Most college basketball units are in action tonight, however, no head-to-head UFL match ups. Disappointing.

In the great words of the DA ZONE

Obama.......Fuck yeah

Please check your lineup

Please check your lineup against the Roster Setup. The lineups and scores should be fine, but I fucked up something and need a list of inconsistencies between what you have and what it says you have in Roster Setup. I'm doing my own check, but you guys have a good eye for mistakes.

Thanks

Big Moves

First round of the Australian Open is over and everyone collected 5 points...except me...let's go underdogs!

The natural rivalry between Dan and Matt got another layer of nuance last night as Matt dropped Denver in disgust after they lost to the Rockets, only to have Dan pick them up 2 hours later. Now Matt has the Jazz (drafted by Dan) and Dan has Denver (drafted by Matt). All we can hope for is that ownership of these teams doesn't change before Sunday 7 p.m. CST when the Jazz play the Nuggets in Denver...watching Dan try to get Ziggy to flip to a basketball game during the Rumble would be entertainment enough to fill a fortnight...

Current Standing
1. B&G (29)
2. Pineapple (25)
2. BennBounce (25)
2. Da Zone (25)
3. Otis (23)
4. Conatus (22)
5. Born Again (21)
5. E.H. Schnuck (21)
6. Team A (19)
6. 2 Cats (19)

Light day today. Scattered action, but no head-to-head UFL match-ups.

Transactions: 1/19-1/25

Patrick drops Purdue and adds Kansas

UFL Double header tonight on TNT

First-off, there seems to be something wrong with the blog...the side bar isn't showing up and neither are the vast majority of the posts...everything still exists (I can see it in the admin pages) but is not showing up. Hopefully it will fix itself soon.

The tennis points continue to accumulate and I'm sweating my Sharapova decision just a tad. If you want to know when your bitch is competing here is the "schedule of play" and the TV schedule. Combining these two resources you have half a shot in hell of figuring out when a specific match is going on.

Now, double header preview:

TNT 7 p.m. CST Bussman's Suns travel east to get SPF 86'd against my Celtics.

TNT 9:30 CST Lebron apparently is shooting a new commerical...I hope it's funny and he daces a lot...it is funny when he dances and makes me want to reevaluate my auto insurance. To fill the time between takes, the NBA was nice enough to schedule a game for Lebron's team to play in LA. The Cavs (Patrick) will play a game against the Lakers (Ben).

In other news: Pitt (Matt) plays Syracuse (free-agent) tonight. I don't quite understand why no no one has picked up the Orange. Boeheim always goes far in the tourney...I think that either Matt or Patrick could justify taking Syracuse right this minute. Matt would get extra points for dropping Pitt and adding the Orange before the two play tonight.

Ben in First Place...And will be for a while.

Why? Because women's tennis is underway bitches! I just added scores for the matches that have ended at the Australian Open, but it is early tomorrow in Australia, so there is plenty of action to come. Ben has the #1 seed in the tourney. Scallet has also scored a win, but he is still in 3rd place, despite those 5 points, because he sucks and can't beat me, even when I sit out a major event. Keep an eye on your tennis points, please. Those foreign names are hard and I might fail to award you your well earned points.

Scores have updated

Everyone has hit double-digits! Even Herman! Ziggy and Herman split their two game head-to-head show down, and both scored six points for the day.

Dan, Matt, Ziggy, Herman and Brian all had the maximum 4 scoring units going yesterday...none of them could pick up the full 8 points. So, expect them to slide even further in the standings as those tired-ass squads take a little siesta.

That's all for now.
