Updates, Golf, Patty Dominance

Updates are done. Patty and Brian move on to the next round of the Champs League; Herman and Zig go down to rather lopsided defeat. On the bright side, Herman's Venezuela and Zig's Cuba do advance in the WBC. Matt has already commented on the Dominican's ignominious defeat so I won't rub it in, though I will note this likely opens up an easier path for Lyons's US team to the semis.

The WGA-CA starts tomorrow, so be sure to check the field to make sure your golfer has entered. The field is half the normal size so I assume someone important has decided to forgo the event. Commish, do you think players should get a bonus (double or maybe 50% more) for making a much more difficult cut?

And one last note. As I was updating the sheet I noticed Patty's amazing overall performance. He has racked up the most points in NCAA (BCS), NCAA (non-BCS), Golf, and the NHL and has tied for the most points in the NBA, the WBC, and Champions League. He is either in the lead or tied for the lead in every category aside from women's tennis. Not bad.

Last half of this round of the Champs League today. Co-favorites Manchester United and Barcelona are both vulnerable, so it might get interesting.

  1. 20 minutes into watching ManU and Inter Milan and it looks like ManU has 15 players on the field.
